Overview

This Enrolment Policy outlines the process, expectations and conditions that apply when enrolling a student at SAC Tutoring. By enrolling, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms, as well as our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Step 1 - Free Trial Class

All new students are welcome to attend a complimentary trial class before committing to a program.

The trial is:

- Free of charge

- One session only

- Available at any of our Melbourne centres or online

Not a commitment to enrol

During the trial, your child will participate in a regular lesson and receive a brief personalised assessment so our team can understand their learning level and needs.

If you are happy to continue after the trial, you can enrol directly with our team.

Step 2 - Choosing a Program

Before enrolment is confirmed, our team will help you choose the right:

Subject(s): English, Maths, Science, VCE subjects, Selective Entry preparation, or Scholarship preparation

Year level: Prep to Year 12

Format: Small group or one-on-one tutoring

Location: One of our seven Melbourne centres, or online

If you are unsure which option is best suited to your child, please contact us and we will make a recommendation based on your child's year level, goals and learning needs.

Step 3 - Confirming Enrolment

Enrolment is confirmed once:

- Your enrolment details have been submitted and reviewed by our team

- You have agreed to our Terms and Conditions

- Your payment details or payment arrangement have been confirmed

A place in a program is not guaranteed until all three steps are complete. If a program is at capacity, we will notify you and offer an alternative time, format or waitlist option.

Enrolment Timing

Students may enrol at any point during the term. Our team will advise you of the next available lesson based on your preferred location, subject and session time. Enrolment mid-term is welcome - you will be charged only for the remaining lessons in the term from your start date.

Fees and Payment

Fees are charged per term or per billing cycle, depending on the enrolment type. Fee information is provided at the time of enrolment.

Fees are due by the date specified at enrolment. Failure to pay by the due date may result in your child's place being held for another student.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of first paid lesson. If you are not satisfied within this period, contact us at [email protected] to request a refund of fees paid for lessons not yet attended.

Missed Lessons

If your child is unable to attend a scheduled lesson, please notify us as early as possible.

Notified absences: Subject to tutor and room availability, we will endeavour to offer a make-up lesson where reasonable notice has been given.

Unnotified absences: Lessons missed without prior notice are generally not eligible for make-up lessons or credits.

Extended absences: If your child needs to pause lessons for an extended period (e.g., illness, school commitments), please contact us to discuss options.

Changing Your Enrolment

If you wish to change your child's subject, session time, location or tutoring format, please contact us. Changes are subject to availability and will take effect from the next available session.

Withdrawing from a Program

To withdraw your child from a program, please notify us in writing by emailing [email protected]. We ask for reasonable written notice prior to the start of the next term or billing period where possible.

Fees already paid for upcoming lessons will be reviewed in line with our refund policy at the time of withdrawal. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for further detail.

Student Conduct and Suitability

We maintain a respectful, focused learning environment at all our centres. Students are expected to engage constructively and treat tutors and peers with courtesy.

SAC Tutoring reserves the right to decline or terminate an enrolment where:

- A student's needs are outside the scope of our current programs

- A student's conduct is repeatedly disruptive to others

- Information provided at enrolment was inaccurate or incomplete

Learning Resources

All materials provided during lessons are exclusive to enrolled students. They are written in-house by our education team and are not available for sale or distribution outside our programs.
