Getting started with online tutoring at SAC takes just a few steps - and we handle everything.

STEP ONE

Sign Up For A FREE Zoom Account!

Simply enter your email and choose your password to sign up for an account.‍ It's that easy! After you have your zoom account, download the zoom app on any device and join our classes from anywhere!

STEP TWO

Join Our Live-Streamed Classes!

Open up your zoom app and click join.

Once you have enrolled with us, you will be emailed a meeting ID for the class. Enter this ID into the space provided.

Enter the name of your child and click join!

From here, you can turn on your video camera and microphone to interact with our tutors!

STEP THREE

After the Class, Check Out Our Online Classroom!

We use Google Classroom to provide weekly quizzes as well as recorded versions of our live-streamed lessons.

Our weekly quizzes track your child's progress as well as providing a good source of revision.

All of our live-streamed lessons are recorded which means our students are able to go over tricky topics as many times as they need!

We also provide written explanations of the questions included in our materials! This is for our students to check their answers when given homework to complete.

Group Classes

Best value - more affordable

The tutor's time will be evenly divided up between all the students in the class in group lessons.
The focus is spread among all topics in group lessons. Each concept is broken down step-by-step to make it easy to understand.
Studying with your friends in group lessons is always fun! Plus, it is a good opportunity to learn from your peers.
Class times are fixed based on preferences from our students.
More often than not, group lessons are cheaper than individual lessons!

1-on-1 Sessions

Personalized - undivided attention

All the of the tutor's time will be spent going through the content at your pace!
The pace of the lesson can be more tailored to individual students in 1-on-1 tutoring. Every minute is tailored to exactly where they need help.
Unfortunately, no peers in 1-on-1 classes. But our tutors are all very friendly so don't hesitate to ask them questions!
Times for lessons are more flexible if you decide to go with 1-on-1 tutoring.
1-on-1 tutoring is more pricey compared to group lessons. However, the results from individual tutoring can outweigh that of group lessons.

What if my child misses a class?

No problem - every session is recorded and uploaded to Google Classroom within 24 hours. Your child can watch the full recording at their own pace, and all homework and workbooks remain accessible.

Can we switch to in-person if we prefer?

Absolutely. If you live near one of our 7 Melbourne locations, you can switch to an in-person centre at any time. Many families mix online and in-person sessions across the term.
