Our Lessons

How do your lessons work?

All our classes are live-streamed which means our students can interact with our tutors during the class. For primary school, our lessons are split into 1 hour or 45 minutes each of English and Maths. For high school and VCE, the entire lesson will be spent on your chosen subject! Additionally, all our lessons are recorded so students are able to review classes on our online platform.

How long are your lessons?

Each lesson runs for the scheduled class duration at your campus (typically 1.5 to 2 hours). We recommend that students attend one class per week, as the same lesson content is taught across all weekly sessions.

However, if a student would like additional revision or extra support, they are welcome to attend the same subject on another day (subject to availability). At SAC, we value each student's learning experience and the effectiveness of their lessons more than the number of classes they attend. We encourage students to attend the number of classes that best supports their learning and confidence.

What online platforms do you use?

We use Zoom to hold our live-streamed classes where students can un-mute their microphones and speak to the tutor or type their questions and responses in the chat box.

How many students are in a class?

Our group classes vary based on students' availability. Classes are smaller than those at school to ensure our tutor is able to provide attention to each student.

Our Tutors

Are your tutors trained?

We pride ourselves in providing the best education for your children. All our tutors are professionally trained by registered teachers. Our tutors have to satisfy at least 20 hours of rigorous training. After their training sessions have been completed, our tutors go through multiple assessments before taking over their own class.

Do your tutors go through background checks?

All our tutors must pass background checks before they are qualified for an interview with us. Our tutors all have up-to-date Working with Children Checks.

Tutoring FAQ

Does my child need tutoring?

We have found that tutoring provides a strong foundation for those who start with us at a young age. This sets up the perfect stage for the rest of your child's academic life. For the older kids, tutoring serves as a great boost to achieve their goals. In the words of our founder, "Education is the key to opportunities."

Isn't school enough?

At school, teachers have limited time to provide each student the individualised support they need. Competition for the top schools and universities is intensifying. For those aiming for the top spots, additional help may make the difference between success and failure.

Group lessons or private lessons?

Group lessons provide an environment where students can drive each other to achieve their goals. This also provides an opportunity for students to learn from one another and pick up good study habits. For more individualised and personal help, private lessons may be the answer for your child.

Is my child too young?

The earlier good study habits are introduced, the better. We have found that students who develop these habits early on are able to succeed in their academic life.
